1 Year of Tackle Huggles Later…

Fine day to thee, dwellers of Vana’diel!

I woke up this mornin’ and sifted through some paperwork when I realised that last Sunday was a very special day:  it was on that day last year that I took my first step into Windhurst :3

Yes, I’ve been adventurin’ for 1 year already! Where does the time go, anyway?  I remember the first time I found myself in Windy. It was so HUGE! And the people were so tiny… er, Taru :P

I was getting lost left and right; and couldn’t figure out where to go… or what to do! After running around for some time, I ran into a lil’ Taru named Redred, who partied with me a while and got me better acquainted with things in town, like the Auction House ^.^

I also met Bigheadswife, a mighty Mithra Red Mage who did so much for me: help get my sub job quest items, helped me get the Mea and Dem Teleport Crystal, escorted Danara and me to Jeuno for the first time,  and even gave me a pearl to my first Linkshell, DemonSlayers  :D Running around with Monk, then switching to Red Mage… using Monk as a sub job; using my fists as a weapon instead of picking up a sword :P Seemed like a good idea at the time! Really!

Those were the days. I’ve come a long way since then. Getting adopted by Reiner and Flurraie; my first party in the Dunes with my sweetiepoo Buckline and our eventual nuptuals; many a late night smiting things. Sure, I don’t have a level 75 job yet – unlike Danara, who started adventurin’ a week later than me, has 2 level 75 jobs  and has done, like, everything there is to do! LOL! Conga, chico ;)   But I’ve been enjoying what I’ve been doing; takin’ time to smell the roses and such. :D Next year I do plan to kick it into high gear and get things going (still thinking of how to melee Maat with Red Mage… so want to do it xD). Also, once I get a nice cash flow goin’, I can continue with my Avatar Sweet Tooth experiment. All the better of course, Carby’s still writing out the report and analyzing the results from our first outing. Who knew examining Avatars could be so complicated? O.o’

I’ve met many folks, some are still around; some have rode off to that golden pasture of new endeavours on their Chocobo. To everyone I ever met on this crazy journey of mine…

Thank you :)

Here’s to surviving my first year of adventuring and to many more adventures to come!

Tally HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!

Alas, I’ve Hit a Snag! Oh, what a Drag! @.@

Good morning, jovial folks of Vana’diel!

So, I was gathering some choice items for my lil’ experiment and decided that I was ready for my first field test! It didn’t go as smoothly as I had originally planned, but I managed to walk away from it with Carby’s help, so that’s all that matters in the end.

However, as I stood there victorious, I came to a shocking realization: this is gonna cost me money! Oodles and oodles of cold hard cash! O.o; So I decided that I’ll take a wee break from adventuring yet again (with some exceptions of course), and go back to Crafting. I decided that since I’m going to be in need of potions up the wazoo, I decided to try my hand at Alchemy. So far so good; it’s at level 10 and I passed the exam with flying colours ^.^ I also started Goldsmithing, which is at the astonishing level of… 2

… >_>;

Okay so it’s nothing to write home about, but it’s still something :P

While that might sound all well and good, I probably won’t be able to get enough funds just by crafting, so I’ll have to resort to Plan B: corporate sponsorship ^.^ I’ll be pitching my idea to the various guilds and businesses of Vana’diel and hopefully someone will like the idea so much, they’ll give me the gil I need to continue my research :D Wish me luck!

Well, that’s about all I have for now. Time to find something to munch on.

Ta-ta for now! :)

A New Experiment

Good afternoon, pretty people of Vana’diel!

I was just sitting here in my Mog House contemplating my next grand adventure; munching on Gummi Chocos (my favourite candy) and watching some shows on my brand-new Viewing Crystals that everyone’s been ranting and raving about. Before I go on, I must say, it’s a marvel how far technology has come! :O Who would’ve thought that I would be able to watch so many entertaining programming on this thing! Buckline and I  get 200+ channels and even had to get a Recording Shell to record all the shows to watch. It’s AMAZING! Of course, Bucky gets a bit ticked off at me for hogging it most of the time while he’s off adventuring ^.^ I tell him I’m learning new Cooking recipes and seeing the latest fashion trends to help get my Clothcraft juices flowin’.

But I digress… I was sitting there thinking, “Do Avatars eat candy?” I decided to test this out with my bestest buddy, Carbuncle. I called him out and asked him that very question. His answer?

Carby: “It depends on the Avatar’s personality. Some have a bigger sweet tooth than others.”

Me: “Do you like candy?”

Carby: “Of course I do! :3″

With that in mind, in the great tradition of some of the great talk shows like “The Tyra-Wyra Banktaru Show” and “Opopo Winfrey”, I shall conduct my own social experiment.

The topic: Do Avatars Eat Candy?

This will be an ongoing study that will take come time to do, many moogle hours and robbery of a Culinary Guild on more than one occasion. I shall make it my mission to answer this pressing question, as this could be the secret weapon adventurers need to win over the Avatars and make them putty in our hands!

Who amongst these mighty gods can easily be seduced by Jaw Breakers? Who will jump for joy at the mere sight of jelly beans? Who will swoon for lollipops. Place your bets, fair denizens, by casting your votes in the poll to the left, entitled “Which Avatar Do You Think Has a Sweet Tooth?” I will keep you posted on my progress and inform you of the latest breakthroughs.

WOOOOOO! ROAD TRIP! I feel my journalism senses tingling! This’ll get me the Noble-Woble Prize for Journalism! x3

Gotta go pack and set the Recording Stone to capture my shows for the next, oh, month or so. Will touch base soon! Tally-HOOOOOOOOOOOO~!

I Have Achieved Pimpness

Good day to you, beautiful inhabitants of Vana’diel!

Well, it seems that the Nomad Moogle I had a deal with still hasn’t delivered my other letters to Buckline. I’m so peeved; what could that lil’ slacker be doing with them!? O.o Well, as soon as they come, I’ll let you read them… every lil’, hot, smoldering, steaming detail (no smut in there; sorry, boys! xD ).

Anyhoo, there’s been something on my mind that’s been bugging me… a lot. What could possibly be bothering such a cool, laid-back cat, you ask? This:

This hat has been TAUNTING me from its’ cushy position in my Inventory for so long, it was driving me crazy! I had to do something about it. Since I was Level 58 and in danger of deleveling with one more death, I decided to go get a buffer. Off I went to Eastern Altepa Desert and, using my new NIN skills, started to do some page 5 Fields of Valor. I even called out my Adventuring Fellow, Romidiant the Elvaan, and got him to Level 34. Soon that buffer that I wanted was getting bigger and bigger (O.o) I really was getting some decent EXP… so I figured I’d stay here a while longer (^.^)

Woke up the next day and started eating my breakfast… of mobs “;..;” They were delicious :P

My Hume buddy Sharifah (a.k.a Uncy Hermaphrodite or Hermy; a.k.a Dude Looks Like a Lady) decided to stop by a while on his Dancer and we duoed a bit (^.^) He left after a while, but the company was very much appreciated =3

Hand me meh Magic Pimp Stick! xD

After much blood, sweat and tears, I finally did it: I reached level 60. I was so happy! Not only that… Made quite a bit of Gil from those gobbies I smushed :P Even managed to get me a bit of a buffer, too: would hate to see all that hard work go down the tubes now.

Now that I’ve achieved my goal, I have a new one that must be reached in order to maintain my awesomeness: get my hands on some key gear and spells. Good grief, the spells. Ya know, I’ve always been terrible at keeping up-to-date with my spells. Mainly because they seem to cost an arm, a leg and a foot nowadays. I know, it’s not as bad as before, but it’s still annoying as heck. And so many spells, too! I still don’t have a scroll of Phalanx, its price was always so high and never seems to want to come down at all!

So, yeah, I’m in need of some serious cash. I thought it might be a good idea to put some of my funds towards my Crafting skills (ya know, since some of the crafted items can go for big bucks on the AH). Plus I had so many Crystals taking up space in my inventory; figured I should put them to good use.

Unfortunately, ya gotta spend some money in order to make money and… er… um…

I’m 10 times more broke than I was before I started ^_^;

Been thinking of starting my “Will Dance for Gilz” campaign; traveling all across Vana’diel to bring merriment to all… for the low, low price of 500 ! I think it’s a fair price ^.^

… it isn’t? O.o’

I’ll have my people call your people so we can work up some sort of deal ~_^

Would like to stay and chat some more, but I must think up more money-making schemes, so I must bid you adieu.

TTFN! Ta-ta For Now! =3

Pilgrimage to Jeuno: Postcard the First

Delivered by Land Moogle to Buckline in San D’Oria

My dearest Buckline,

The days are long as the nights are cold; dwelling in this discreet cave hidden amidst the cavernous cliffs of Meriphataud Mountains. As I lay here, I can’t help but ponder the events that led up to this decision.
Do you recall, dearest, that time not too long ago, when we went to seal the evil in Fei’Yin with the help of uncle Daywalker and Aesyra? The Skeleton Mage and his lackeys were powerful foes indeed, but crumbled beneath our awesome might.

Resting after the fierce battle with Skeles in Fei-Yin. Oy...

How about later that evening, when we stood toe-to-ankle with the Shadow Lord? I heard many stories of the epicness of the battle; never did I imagine going up against the scoundrel. However, with uncle Day, momma Flurraie, cousin Danara, and Booter, the evil Darkness was pushed back into the depths of the abyss from whence it came.
Momma bequeathed her first sword, the Wise Man’s Anelace, to me that night. She said that Daddy Reiner gave it to her. I’ve decided to name the sword The Hitman, because naming it Sting would’ve gotten me sued… besides, naming swords after other wrestlers is always good sport.
Once my Red Mage reached level 58 and I was able to don another piece of my Artefact Armour, I felt that something was missing. I felt so weak; much weaker than I should be for my current level. It is with that feeling that I chose to venture forth and increase my power by doing some intense training. I do this not only for myself, but for the valiant line of Melee Mages who came before me (must uphold their honour, don’tcha know). However, that will entail spending some time away from you, my beloved Dragoon.
The first area of improvement that I’ve chosen is swordplay. I know I would have some difficulty in this area: after all, I started my Red Mage career using Monk as my Support and bashing things in with my fists (which was very effective). I needed to find some way to increase my sword prowless, thus choosing to train in the art of the Ninja. My hope is to get it strong enough so that I may use it as Support for my Mage jobs. However, my Ninja wasn’t very strong so I went out to level and get stronger. After many trials and tribulations, I have reached level 20. It was time to take my training to Phase Two: The Pilgramage.
Now when I first started, I was fortunate enough to have an escort to Jeuno the first few times I went there on foot before I got an airship pass. I have decided that it would only be fair to take that mighty journey alone… and what better job to take that journey with than a Ninja?

So here I am in wild; cold, alone and munching on some lizard tails. I’m using a Lizard Skin as Parchment to write this letter, and tasty Rolanberry juice as ink. I have a deal going with this Nomad Moogle who passes by here: he sends the letters I write to you, I take some of these trinkets out of his hands. Still have no clue with a pair of Behemoth Nose Hair Trimmers, but I’m sure I’ll figure that out once I get home.

I’ve learned much throughout my journey, but I know that I have a ways to go. I know not when I shall return to you, oh glorious dragoon, so I ask that you check my Delivery Box, as my Moogle can’t be trusted (he ate some Insect Paste that was sent my way; thinking that it was a Cheesy Poof).

And so I must leave it at that, sweet Buckline. My fingers are freezing and I don’t like the way that Yagudo is looking at me. ‘Tis time for me to re-locate and find new shelter whilst I still can. The Nomad Moogle will be here soon, so you should receive this letter within that next day or so. I love you so very, very much.

- Mineeva

I shall soon return to my Red Mage glory...

Silence of the Lambs and Hare Hide-jinks

Hello once again, fair citizens of Vana’diel!

Getting back onto the crafting game isn’t as easy as I thought it would be, especially on meh low funds. Been considering shouting “Will dance for Gilz” in the streets of Jeuno, but I don’t think it would fly as well as I would like it to :P So, I decided to take a break from leveling Summoner to focus on my Crafting enterprise. Last time I got into the crafting scene, I was focusing on getting Clothcrafting up, which is now sitting pretty at level 19. Not too shabby, and I put all those Crystals to good use. But in order to make the goodies I want, I’m gonna have to cheat on meh beloved cloth and whip it dominatrix-style by playing with Leathcrafting xD

So here I am, romping and stomping my way through Konschtat Highlands and West Ronfaure killing innocent sheepy-sheep for their skins. It didn’t seem right at first; beating the snot out of Level 1 sheep as a Level 53 Red Mage/ Thief. But then I started getting sheep meat, and I got hungry enough to forget the guilt altogether (Iiiiiii want my baby back-baby back-baby back riiiiiibs).

Mmmmmm, meat…

O.o *ahem* Where was I? Oh yes, the Silence of the Lambs. >:3 So yea, I was doing some Farmcrafting (the act of crafting items as you farm for them) and got my leathercraft to level 2. Pretty good day’s work, IMO ^.^

Unfortunately, the Sheep Skin craft I was doing won’t gain me any skill-ups beyond Level 2, so I had to switch gears. This handy-dandy leathercrafting guide suggests that I focus on making Rabbit Mantles. Seems easy enough to do:

  • Earth Crystal x 1
  • Grass Thread x 1
  • Rabbit Hide x 5

I have ample Earth Crystals from my time doing Clothcrafting, and Grass Threads are uber-cheap at the Guild in Windy. The only thing that needed hunting is Rabbit Hide. Since the bunnies in East and West Sarutabaruta won’t drop Hides worth a lick, I had to go elsewhere. So, I went to East Ronfaure and hunted down Wild Rabbits and Forest Hares. But they weren’t dropping it any better either! O.o Seriously, who do I have to bribe to get more Rabbit Hides!? >.< *sighz*

I found myself going on a weird field trips, a trail of bunnies behind me. I went from East Ronfaure, to West Ronfaure, to La Theine Plateau, and ended in Valkurm Dunes! The DUNES, for Altana’s sake! @.@ Got a tip from both Danara and Bucky that I should stick with West Ronfaure, as the bunnies there will drop up to 2 Rabbit Hides at a time. (>.>) Was I simply having a bad day and West Ronfaure really is the gold mine of Rabbit Hides? Are the rabbits in a secret conspiracy of keeping the Hides all to themselves? Perhaps they’re preparing to send out their greatest Bunny Warrior to get revenge for their fallen brethren. No, I’m not talking about Jaggedy-Eared Jack. I’m talkin’ about the most frightful, evil bunny alive! A Hume friend of mine told me about this story; it happened to his friend’s friend’s cousin’s great grandpappy. The whole ordeal was captured on secret video, and the footage was leaked:

So yea, I’m digressing a tad, eh? So, I stuck to West Ronfaure and started wailing away on the Forest Hares…. and lo! They were dropping Rabbit Hides like they’re hot! Got ‘em 2 at a time too! I had about 5 stacks of 12 in no time flat! w00tNESS! xD

After my long haul, I went back to Southern San d’Oria and went to the Tanner’s Guild to start my leathercrafting ways. Blazed through every last one of my hides… and got to Level 3! We’re movin’ on up! After my crafting duties, I went back to West Ronfaure and settled in to start my farming fun anew.

I do plan on going back to leveling Summoner soon-ish (perhaps in the next couple of days…?) and with any luck, I’ll be able to make some nice pieces of armour (^.^) Here’s hopin’ eh!?

Well, that’s all I gots for now folks. So I shall say ta-ta for now. And remember: don’t trust the bunnies. (>.>)

Toodles! :)

Return of the King… er, Gods

Good day to you all, fair citizens of Vana’diel!

Well, would ya look at that! It’s been ages seen I last wrote in this thing… again! Seriously, I can’t count of my Moogle to do anything for me while I’m gone. All he does is play with Yagudo Caulk all day long and disses my awesome house; complete with an awesome ceiling that leaks like no other. I swear, if my Stationary Set gets so wet it becomes unusable…

In all honesty here folks, I have been thinking about putting up the ol’ sword and put my adventuring days behind me. Seems like I haven’t been able to get anything done, and peeps whom I normally go adventuring with are either never on or are busy with other projects :/ However, I’ve been trying to put my best foot forward and making the most of my time… and a couple of special folks made that possible :) I admit, this happened a couple of weeks ago, but ’tis still worth writing about, methinks :P

As of late, my dear Buckline and I have been hanging out with one of his best buds (and, according to Buck, the best Dragoon in all of  Seraph), Daywalker (I call him Uncy Day, because… well, because I can ^.^) He’s been helping us out with Buck’s Artifact Armour and has been, for lack of better words, absolutely phenomenal. He could down mobs by just looking at them funny; leading us through the depths of the Quicksand Caves to the very innards of the Boyahda Tree. O.o But Uncy day wasn’t the only awesome dude Buck and I partied with. We were having trouble finding the Coffer Key needed to get Buckline’s Gauntlets in the Boyahda Tree, so Day enlisted the help of the Living Lucky Rabbit’s Foot, uber Red Mage Dragonspirit. :D The Key dropped, like, 5 minutes after he joined our party! xD He’s truly magical, that Dragonspirit is.

Not only did these two Vets of Vana’diel helped with the Buck’s Artifact Armour, and helped me get my Red Mage AF Armour pimp hat, but they helped us climbed the very frosty and unforgiving peaks of Xarcabard and hunt down the vicious Boreal monsters that hid the Frigicite  needed for Old Man Maat’s latest fetch quest. Ugh.

Perhaps the coolest thing that happened during this mini-adventure romp was when we were all heading to Castle Zvahl Baileys to complete Buckline’s Dragoon Hands quest. We were in an alliance with another mini party who needed the to get their hands quest done as well. While we were waiting for the rest of our party to gather at the Castle Entrance, Uncy Day gave me a Pearlsack for his “new” LS, GodsOfTheUnderworld! This LS technically isn’t new; it existed back in the day, and was pretty big, so I was told. However, due to some unfortunate circumstances the LS was disbanded. Uncy Day decided it was time to bring the LS back to life; a new generation of Gods, as it were. We don’t have a lot of members as of yet (or if we do, I haven’t seen them >.>), and I would love to give a pearl to meh mates IF THEY WERE AROUND MORE OFTEN *hint, hint* xD

So there you have it. Daywalker and Dragonspirit reminded me that Vana’diel is a fun place to run around and cause chaos in, provided you do it with the right people. Running amok with them and my sweetiepoo Buckline was the most fun I had in a loooooong time and I look forward to having even more misadventures with them and the other members of GodsOfTheUnderworld in the future. And if any of you are from our mother world of Seraph and want in to our LS, drop me a line! Or look for Buckline, Dragonspirit, Omier or Daywalker (forgot who else has a sack xP). We shall have fun doing NM runs of all kinds, end game stuff, and helping out adventurers be them vets or just starting out. This LS is open to everybody, so don’t be shy!

Toodles, and be on the lookout for a new entry soonish… much sooner than, oh, 4 months >.>

Tee, hee, hee :D

I Will Not Eat This, SAM-I-am

Good afternoon, fair denizens of Vana’diel!

Hope all is well and you’ve been smiting things in the name of love and justice!

I took a bit of a break from the rough-and-tumble life of an adventurer; taking a look back of my misadventures and cursing myself for not jotting everything down :P

Anyhoo, I came back to my lovely Mog House; Delivery Box overflowing with stuff and gil for goods sold on the AH… and the House was in disarray. Honestly, I bust my hump to pimp out my house and all I ask is for it to maintain proper decorum. I can’t trust my Moogle with anything… came home one time and found him wearing the bulb of one of my Bonbori on his head (O.o’) I swear, he’s lucky I haven’t stuffed him in the corner for that!

… I’m digressing again, aren’t I? Well, the first person I talked to when I got back was, of course, my hubby. He was quite happy to see me (^.^)  And while I was sitting around thinking of what to do, I suddenly had the brilliant idea to go and get my Samurai test done. Buck’s SAM is already at level 25, and he’s having a blast with it. And since both his DRG and my RDM are sittin’ at Level 50, we figured we should get our Genkai 1 done and break the barrier… er, horizon :D But we needed some help, so Buck called upon his long-time buddy Billy-Goat-Goat… er… just Goat :P

So the three of us went off to the Sanctuary of Zi’Tah to get the first of my SAM items: the Sacred Branch. I got there before the menfolk did (free Outpost warp FTW!), so I was lounging around and healing fellow adventurers fighting mobs in the area. I was tempted to fight some of the mobs myself since they were all checking as EP, but decided not to. I am, after all, married to the one with the “Luck of Buck” (more on that on a later date).

My Knights in Shiny Armour finally made it to the Outpost and away we went; wandering around looking for the mighty tree I was supposed to chop down. I thought that maybe Buck would be my guide since he did this not too long ago. But even he was confuzzled. Don’t blame him, really. I mean… those trees are HUGE! It may be some nice open space, but those trees are awe-inspiring! Really beautiful! If you haven’t been there before, by all means go! If you’re low level, bring an escort =P

So yea, we finally made our way to this huge frickin’ tree in the eastern part of the Sanctuary, where I’m supposed to fight a Guardian Treant. Then Bucky pipes up and says that he can solo it! =O So Goat and I sat back and watch Buck whale away at it. He won… not that I had any doubts, but since he has “The Luck of Buck” I was worried something might go wrong. But we got the item I needed, so it’s all good.

I wonder if we could make smores with all that fire?

I wonder if we could make s'mores with all that fire?

As we head our way back to the Outpost, Goat went away so Buck and I went on to our next destination: Konschtat Highlands. We ran around looking for the place where my next victim was hiding. Buck lead me to a cave and I thought he was taking me someplace naughty :P But no… it was the spawning point for the next mob: Forger. He was easy…. then again, we are Level 50 an’ all, and Forger’s around Level 30.

So that was the second and last mob. Yays! Got the other item I needed, so it was off to Norg to give it to… some guy :P And then, I became a Samurai!

Well, not really. Have to wait a while to get meh sword to become a SAM. I wasn’t going about to sit around and wait for that. We rejoined Goat and decided to go do our Genkai 1 so that Buckline and I can finally get past Level 50! How did that go, you ask?

You’re gonna have to wait and see! HA! XD

Hot and Cold: The Slippery Ascent to Level 50

Good day, fine people of Vana’diel!

Hope all is well. A fine time to go a-levelin’ and… well, that’s exactly what I did!

I was with Buckline a week ago and we were wandering around Beaucedine Glacier, trying to get to Level 50. It started out pretty well. The mobs here check as Easy Prey, so individually they don’t pose too much of a threat. Of course, that all changes when they come together like Voltron… rat bastards that they are.

So, it was all going well. Buckline wasn’t running off on his own like he normally does… at least, not at first. :P

As our leveling run was coming to an end, we were resting next to the gate at the bottom of one of those towers when he decided to go through it. I followed, but was alarmed when the message popped up saying that the level cap was Level 60. Meh, it’s not like we’ll run into the mobs right away, right? Right?

So here I am, standing in the entrance of Pso’Xja, and all I see is Buckline’s Hit Points dropping down until they were all gone. I ran in and right into a Demon Millstone. Thought I could sneak past it, but it was lookin’ at me with its beady lil’ eyes… er… eye. And I had to retreat. Bucky wanted me to just run in and die like he did. >.>

Silly, silly hubby.

He looks like he eats kitties...

He looks like he eats kitties...

He Home Pointed and I warped back home and decided to take one last trip for the evening: The Eastern Altepa Desert Outpost. Thought I would get lost, or at the very least eaten by some of  those mobs. I mean… there’s so many weird-lookin’ mobs out there. I guess I might look rather weird to them too; a walking, talking kitty with a fab tail and perky ears. But I managed.

I spent the following two days in the desert with Bucky, with some help from mama Flurraie and my cute lil’ sister Reikoh ^.^ I did get frustrated at one point. When we were partying with mama and Re-rei, we were Level Synced down to Level 33, and we started fighting mobs that were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too hard for us, even as a group. Bucky died at one point when we were fighting a Gobbie that was incredibly tough, and I had to call for help. Fortunately there was another party nearby and they did come to the rescue.

Once Bucky was Raised and unweakned, he ran off and aggroed one of the Anticons… and was slaughtered in two hits. I tried to help, but got aggroed and died. I decided to Home Point back to Windy and leave for the night. I was kinda peeved, but looking back, I probably should’ve kept my cool a little more. >.>

I went back the desert with Bucky the next night with a cooler head and a new-found determination (and less sleepy >.>). And we both dinged Level 50. W00tness!

So now, the big question: what next? Well, now that I have a Level 50 job, I gotta make sure that my sub jobs are all up to par. So I’ll probablty spend some more quality time with my Black Mage and White Mage and perhaps work on getting them to Level 37. Don’t get me wrong: Operation 20-Sided Die is still going on. Just maybe concentrate a lil’ about what might be best for my Main right now. Ack, I don’t know. My funds are deminishing at the moment, so I’m gonna take this time to get some money and think about my next move.

That’s all for now, kiddies. Hopefully I’ll have another update sooner rather than a week later (heh, heh, heh… eeh.)

Toodles! ^.^

Operation 20-Sided Die

Good day, good people of Vana’diel!

Hope all is well with you and that you haven’t been eaten by Ironshells like my beloved Buckline was recently (another tale for another day, I’m afraid!)

I’ve been doing a lot of thinkin’ over the last little bitty-bit. One of my goals for my life in Vana’diel was to get every single job to 75. Staring at the current status of my jobs, that goal seems next to impossible to accomplish O.o I don’t think there’s enough hours in the day for me to devote that much time into leveling.

However, as I was sipping on my Yagudo-Rolanberry Cocktail drink I began to devise a plan to help make the goal look slightly more reasonable and doable. It’s simple. It’s visual. It’s a pyramid scheme… wait, no; cross that last one out…

It’s… Operation 20-Sided Die.

It’s been said that the best way to tackle a long-termed goal is to break it up into smaller short term goals. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

As of today (May 22), my job levels are as follows:

You’ll noticed that I didn’t list Ninja, Samurai, or Corsair. That’s because I have yet to unlock those jobs, though I do have their respective quests flagged. Anyhoo, the point of  this Operation is to level each of jobs by 20 level increments. That way, I might be a lil’ more encouraged (ya know, see that my jobs are actually strong and can be suitable subs, blah, blah, blah.) Some jobs will get more love than others at times, though. For example, I plan on making Red Mage the first job to 75 (hence the reason it’s so high at Level 46), so I’ll be using that more frequently than, oh, say, my Warrior.

So, keeping that in mind, here is my first milestone goal:

  • Make sure that all my jobs are Level 20 (a.k.a. Chocobo-riding Level)

I’m workin’ on Bard as we speak, and it’s halfway to level 18 already. I’m hoping to get it to 20 before the end of day tomorrow, and from there go after my missing jobs so that I can start leveling them ASAP. Here’s hoping that my quest for Corsair goes better next time than it did before

Anyhoo, I’m getting sleepy and can’t think of anything else to write. *picks nose*

Before I go, I wanna know what kind of goals (long-term and/or short term) you have for your time inVana’diel. Perhaps you’d like to reach a certain job level too (or maybe a craft level). Or maybe there’s a mob that you want to pound into a bloody mush. Or maybe get a certain skill capped. Doesn’t matter what it is, I wanna know!

So there you have it. Good night! Now talk amoungst yourselves. :P
